Discovering Bologna – Florence – Pisa
I was able to have a 4 days’ getaway from France. My destination was Florence, but I have decided on the way to go to Bologna for 1 day, and then stay 3 days in Florence and then to go to Pisa as well. Italy – fashion, delicious food, pizza and pasta and of course unforgettable gelato ice cream, why not to visit this amazing country?
Day 1 – Best of Bologna
I have arrived in Bologna, where I met my best friend. We did not go to any museums or other cultural and historical places, as we had to catch up with each others news and wanted to enjoy more outside area and restaurants. We were able to find nice small designer shops, with their own impressive collections of clothes. Bologna is an impressive town for its city architecture. However, while wandering around the medieval city we discovered many restaurants with delicious food. Which is the best in this town, where as well we end up our day to spend.
Day 2 – Beautiful Florence
Your day you could start from sightseeing the centre of Florence. I think one of the most impressive architectural buildings is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Flora, the Medieval Cathedral. Next to it Dome and Campanile, which allows you to see the city centre from the up. From you could wander around till you get till Arno river and then reaching Ponte Vecchio, with a market of jewels. Especially, during the evening where you can spend some time with live music and with outgoing people. Where you could spend your lovely evening in there.
Day 3 – Pisa
Getting from Florence to Pisa was easy by train. Around 1 hour of a road and you are ready to discover Pisa. However, I did not find Pisa as a town very impressive. But the Cathedral Square or it is known as well as the Square of Miracles is very very impressive. And worth to see it at least once in a life.
Day 4 – More of Florence
Another short day in Florence, but there is still time to visit some places. One of them is Boboli Gardens a lovely park to discover. Before leaving Florence there is one thing that is a must do, it is a Panoramic view Piazzale Michelangelo of Florence. The place made to stay for a sunset with a big company of friends and close the day with a beautiful sunset.
