Uluwatu is where you can find the most impressive and most beautiful beaches in Bali. No wonder that all the hotels are so expensive in there, however, all of them has a worth of a stay. Most of the time you could find luxurious hotels that offer romantic stays for couples or even wedding packages. But, this article will be more about places to stay or eat for low price followers.
Day 1 in Uluwatu
You should start your day with a breakfast from your hotel or other places that I will recommend you later below. But after your breakfast, you should visit a Pantai Tegal Wangi beach. This place is one of the most attractive beaches for taking pictures, so expect to see many couples. After your photo shoot you could continue to enjoy your day at the beach of your option:
These 3 beaches are next to each other, luckily, it is a place where you could take some tan. The days are short, but the nights are long. Bali offers a wide option of bars and restaurants with most beautiful sunsets. To end your day, I would recommend to enjoy your dinner and with delicious cocktails at:
- Rock Bar, Ayana resort – this bar is always full of people, entrance starts at 4 pm. Some people even recommend arriving there at 3:30 pm to start to stand in a line to get the best table for the sunset. The only negative point is if you are not staying at the hotel you probably get to wait for around 20-40 min. Unless you are lucky! As well you should think of your dress code, as the place is very nice and fancy, with one of the most famous places and best sunsets in Bali.
- If you did not get your dinner outside you always can have dinners at Ayana Resort, where they have at least 5 restaurants. One of my suggestions would be Kisik Bar and Grill. You can have a drink at the Rock Bar and later go for dinner, or if you do not want to wait for the Rock Bar, go for dinner.
- EL KABRON is another option for your dinner and romantic sunset evening. The food in there is really really good, one of your options could be nice paella and a delicious cocktail of passion fruit.
Why not try your breakfast at the Single fin, it is a spot of surfers, with beautiful and hypnotising views of the sea with huge waves and professional surfers. While enjoying your views you should try a breakfast of nalu bowls. (My recommendation is Uluwatu bowl). As well, just to let you know, that every Sunday Single Fin makes amazing parties from 4 pm-1 am. It is short, but it is full at 4 pm, where you have time to grab some drinks and again enjoy your sunset.
Anyway, to continue your day, after the breakfast, you could take a small walk down to the beach of Suluban caves, however, this is the way surfers get into the water, there is no beach to tan! After coming back to your scooter or a car or a taxi you should drive by Pura Luhur Temple, it is a nice place for a walk but would not spend more than 20-30 minutes. And please be careful of the monkeys they steal everything they see. As well, if you are interested and would like to see KECAK dances they usually start from 6 pm at the temple. If you are continuing your day further you could go to a Pantai padang padang beach where you could spend the rest of your day.
I feel like Uluwatu at some point is so empty, but there are still many places to see or to stay. One of them is Green bowl beach, the best timing to get there from noon until 3 pm. It is because of the sea when it goes up and down. So after that, you could go enjoy the day tanning and having cocktails or coconuts at your desire in the Sundays Beach Club. This was one of my the most favourite places in Bali to be. The entrance fee is around 300 000rp which includes food, drinks, towels and paddling. As well, they offer in the evening nice fireplace with marshmallows and good live music. Here you could enjoy your lunch/dinner time.
If you are still not bored of the beach and still have some time in Uluwatu, I would recommend you just enjoy your beach time at Karma Kandara, which is next to the Sunday’s Beach Club and is very similar to it. Here the day pass is 350 000rp weekdays and weekends 500 000rp included food, towels and drinks.
