I have travelled to Yamagata city from Sendai it took like more than 1 hour, obviously it would be much faster to travel by train. As in Japan the train railways are very well developed. So does it worth to visit Yamagata city?
First what we went for is to try traditional Japanese Soba. Which is mmm… pretty tasty, but nothing special. Simple noodles made of buckwheat flour and water, which is low in calories, positive thing!
Actually, there is not that much to see, is a small countryside town. So we have decided to take a dessert.
And our dessert was waiting for us at a Cherry Land!
Yamagata is famous for its cultivation of cherries, blueberries and other many fruits. So now they made an attraction for tourists. Pay for the entrance and eat as much as you can, please choose yourself the timing. 🙂 As we went there in July it was the end of cherries, so we have enjoyed lovely blueberries.
Believe me, we tried to eat a lot, but it was impossible!
So we left Yamagata with a full stomach and happy.
